Algonquin fall colours - Centennial Ridge trail
Fri, Oct 1, 2010 · 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM · Algonquin Provincial Park
How about a spontaneous trip up to Algonquin to take in the fall colours? This coming weekend may be the best opportunity as most of the birches and maples are already brilliant shades of red and oranges (Check out the Ontario Parks Fall Colour report: https://www.parkreport... (https://www.parkreports.com/fall/region.php?region=alg))
One of the best hiking trails for viewing the leaves is Centennial Ridges trail - access from Rock Lake or Coon Lake campgrounds. For that trail it's best to get an early start Sat morning, so we'd drive up Friday afternoon. Sunday we could try another trail - Mizzy Lake is known for wildlife sightings.
Cost - just the cost of the campsite between everyone, it's about $80 in total.
cheers,
