Algonquin park backcountry canoe camping trip
I am reposting this event that i did last year in which the weather did not cooperate. hopefully the rain stays at bay this time.
We will do the Ragged Lake loop, starting off at Smoke lake, south on HWY 60. it will be an anticlockwise loop through claude lake, parkside bay, ragged lake back to smoke lake.
There are lots of bays, islands and swamps on Ragged lake for exploring and maybe catching view of some wildlife.

Saturday start off early at 9am'ish, get the canoes from the Portage store (for those renting), and put in at Smoke lake.

Sunday back around 1pm'ish to the parking lot

There are 4 portages, with longest at 740m and shortest at 240m

if you are not familiar with backcountry camping or don't know what to bring as gear, let me know. bottles & cans are not allowed in the park.
