Kayaking, Deer Island, Georgian Bay, Killarney

It would be a crime to waste a summer solstice not in a kayak on Georgian Bay. The distance you could cover. The lingering sunset at the end of it all.
Not to be confused with the Canada Day Phillip Edward trip the following weekend, June 26 to 29, this is a more muscular two day version of the same. To the observant, the following, photos and all, is a carbon copy of a 2012 trip.
Itinerary:
Friday, the earlier the better, drive 477 km north to Killarney, Ontario. Camp somewhere (Killarney Outfitters' field if renting kayaks from them).
Saturday, purchase Chikanishing Access Point permits from Killarney Provincial and head out. Pick islands to explore along Phillip Edward Island's south shore based on wind speed and direction. (Green Island beyond the Hawks and Foxes chains has been thumbing its nose for too long now).
Sunday, Return to Killarney area mid afternoon then head home, or preferably extend the tour another day if participants can get Monday off.
