Kawartha Highlands Canoeing

Itinerary:

Friday May 20th: Depart 11am drive up to Long Lake Access Point. Park vehicles, pickup rentals from Long Lake Lodge and load canoes. Depart access point no later than 4pm. Paddle to campsite 411 on Loucks lake. Set up camp for the night.

Alternative option If you are unable to arrive early Friday night and wish to join us on Saturday morning, you can meet us on site 411 by 10am. Car camping may be available for Friday night at Emily Provincial Park approx. 1 hour away from Kawartha Highlands. You would need to make your own arrangements if you are planning on joining us Saturday morning.

Saturday May 21st: Pack up camp after breakfast and head west toward portage P149 and P23 into Cox Lake. Paddle to P300 into Sparkler. Break for lunch at portage trail. Paddle to P447 into Agate Lake. Set up camp in time for dinner on site #501.

Sunday May 22nd: Enjoy the day at your leisure, go for a paddle or hike. Explore nearby waterways.

Monday May 23rd: Pack up camp after breakfast and head back to the access point along the same route. Return rentals, get back into cars and drive home.

Cost breakdown:

Camping fees: $11 per person per night plus a percentage of the reservation fee.

Gas: shared among your carpool payable to your driver.

Food: If you wish to share meals with others contact Julianna and we can include you. The 3 of us will be preparing meals together as a group and sharing food but you can bring your own food if you prefer.
