So here's the plan. Leave work Friday afternoon and head to mew lake for the night. wake up and head to the West Gate Center to obtain our back country permits. Head to the Western Uplands Hiking trail and start our snowshoeing adventure by 10:00 am. On our way we'll stop breaks and pictures no rush. After a generally relaxed snowshoe in to camp. We'll set up camp and look for fire wood and cue good times. Then turn in for a cold night sleep.

After waking up make breakfast and break camp. Then leisurely make our way back to the Western Uplands parking lot.

Keeping warm while hiking is usually not a problem. This weekend is going to be quite cold in Algonquin Be prepared to be sleeping in -25 to -30.
