Point Grondine Canoe Trip

Fri, Jul 21, 2017 · 8:00 AM – Sun, Jul 23 · Killarney Provincial Park

Please join us for KWBT's first ever trip to Point Grondine. A First Nation owned and operated recreational park, Point Grondine has over 18,000 acres of scenic natural wilderness landscape, old growth pine forest, stunning river vistas and six interior lakes to explore. The picturesque water flowing along the coast of Georgian Bay invite you to many canoe routes, hiking trails and backcountry campsites located throughout the interior of the Park. Hike, canoe or sea kayak along the traditional routes of the Anishnaabek people and be ready to be captivated by this historic and majestic place.

Paddlers can take in breath taking scenery as they navigate the Mahzenazing River to Wemtagoosh Falls (Frenchman Falls). A short portage at the Falls carries you into Cedar and Lyle Lake with access to the Tri-Lakes (Bejeau, Mcdougall and Missery) via one kilometre portage. Throughout the Tri-Lakes history is abound as old logging camps from the late 19th century can be spotted on the north side of the lakes. Fishing is permitted under provincial regulations.
