Snowshoeing From Cyprus Lake To Stormhaven

Ok everyone With the snow finally here it's time to rid our selves of our cabin fever. We'll be starting our venture at the Cyprus Lake campground. From there we'll make our way to the head of trails. then fallow the Horse Lake trail to the Bruce trail. Once on the Bruce trail we then make our way to our destination " Stomhaven " Along the way we'll be going in and out of the treeline as well as up and down in some slightly challenging areas. After stopping at scenic out looks and plenty of post card worthy pictures taken. We should arrive at Stormhaven around 1:30- 2:00 pm. After arriving clearing off the tent pads can commence. Once the tent pads are snow free it's time to put our home away from home up. After finishing that its time to explore or kick back and relax. When the sun go's down hope for a clear sky to do some chilly star gazing. When it gets too late or too cold head for bead. Come morning wake up with the crisp air all around and make some warm food. Then it's time to break camp and head back to Cyprus Lake campground. After loading the cars full of our gear and goodbyes said. It's time to make for our urbanite dwellings.

Important information: This is an Inter mediate level meetup. that being said If you haven't been out on a winter camping trip before. Please start with the beginners winter camping trip first. Logistics: I'll be heading to Cyprus Lake campground Friday evening after work. all are welcome to do the same. It is not mandatory though the meet up will start as planed. We will assemble at P2 for a 10 am start Saturday morning. cost: $ 9.80 - Camping permit (per person per night) $11.70 - Overnight parking fee for vehicle.

Fee for Winter Camping is $15.70 per site/ per night. Exact change is required. Please Self register at the Cyprus Office winter kiosk.
