Backpacking on the Bruce near Lion's Head
Join me for a two day backpacking trip along a northern portion of the Bruce Trail near Lion's Head. The trip will be a in and out hike along the shore through provincial nature reserves.
This trip is not technically difficult but there is a substantial distance to cover. Participants are required to be able to travel 20KM each day for two days with a fully loaded overnight pack.
The trail is generally easy to follow. There is a fair amount of rock, a characteristic of hiking along the Niagara Escarpment. There is also a potential for a fair bit of exposure to wind and rain during large sections. Finally cool fall weather could present a challenge.
I am collecting $1 deposit for this trip which will be fully refunded if you attend. Passengers and drivers are expected to share the cost of gas for their vehicles.
