Winter camping & snowshoeing

Bruce Peninsula National Park. Beginners welcome

Sat, Feb 15, 2020 · 4:30 PM – Mon, Feb 17 · Bruce Peninsula National Park

All welcome. Very Beginner friendly (for winter, anyway).
Cost:
camping:$16.05/site/night=$32.10 for 2 nights
+ gas (consult your driver)
+ cook your own meals either on a grill over the fire or bring your own camp stove (if sharing a stove it is polite to chip in for fuel).

My plan is to arrive between 4-4:30pm Saturday at the parking area, P2. From there it is a very short hike (less than 200m) into the Tamarack camping area to pick a site, set up camp, cook supper, and make a snowman.
Sunday my goal is to get out to the Grotto and see the sites. Monday: pack up and then enjoy more of the sites before leaving for home.

Snowshoes are recommended but likely won't be needed as I'm guessing the trails are well packed from all the other visitors to the park.

Consult the park website under winter camping to learn more.

I will post in the comments section once I arrive which site I will be on.

Can't make it for the whole weekend?...then you are still welcome to join in for any portion.

How to find us: 469 Cypress Lake Rd, Tobermory, ON. Parking lot P2. N45.13.605 W81.31.945
