The KW Backcountry Travel Meetup Monthly Meetup

Hi everyone, I hope yours are well.

This month’s meeting will be a bit different, though I sure many of you have already had the opportunity to experience the wonders of tel-presence. We will meet at the usual time but at a new location, GoTo Meeting. Meeting information is at the bottom of this message.

It is cruel that many of us are blocked from the very thing we look to to help with life’s stress. Success in backcountry travel is the process of encountering obstacles, adapting, and in the end being enriched rather than burdened by them. We all need to carry this process on, to draw opportunity and joy from our new lifestyles and to prepare for our backcountry future.

I am adapting by working on a series of events, much like my intro courses, to help others (you?) develop the skills to lead your own trips (solo or in your household groups). This will have a short presentation followed by lots of time to answer questions and share experiences. Look for more details in the near future.

So grab your drink of choice and join us next Tuesday. I hope to “see” you there.
