KWBT Summer of Love Algonquin Canoe trip

Fri, Sep 18, 2020 · 9:00 AM – Sun, Sep 20 · Algonquin Provincial Park

THE TRIP IS NOW FULL. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING, HAVE YOUR NAME ON THE WAITLIST BECAUSE IF SOMEONE HAS TO BAIL, THAT’S WHERE I’LL LOOK FOR A REPLACEMENT

Love of canoeing, that is. We're heading off to Algonquin to do some beginner-level canoeing and day-hiking. It's an ideal time of year to be in the backcountry - bugs gone, water still swimmable, leaves beginning to turn, days still warm, nights cool enough to get a good night's sleep.

We'll be campground-camping Friday night at Rock Lake, so you can come up early Friday and do some exploring, or come up after work and pull into the campground any time of evening. Saturday we'll paddle over for a day-hike along the Centennial Ridges Trail.

Probably taking a maximum of six people.

Details and a spreadsheet to fill out coming up.

No pets on this trip, thanks.

There will be the usual costs associated with Park camping fees, $25 each in this case, the drive up and parking. I expect we'll have our own canoes, so we won't be needing rentals.
