Snowshoeing From Cyprus Lake To Stormhaven
Time to rid our selves of our cabin fever. Lets do a fun winter trip to Bruce National Park.
We'll starting at the Cyprus Lake campground.
From there head to Horse Lake and onward to the Bruce trail.
Once on the Bruce trail we head South towards Stomhaven.
Along the way we'll be going in and out of the treeline as well as up and down in some slightly challenging areas.
Lots of scenic spots will be encountered on our way.
We should arrive at Stormhaven early afternoon. We will stay on the upper sites and make use of the tent pads. After finishing unpacking there should be time to explore, build snow furniture, or kick back and relax.
Come morning wake up with the crisp air all around and make some warm food. Then it's time to break camp and head back to to the cars and drive home.
Difficulty::
This is an Intermediate level meetup. Although this trip is not particularly difficult is is expected that people know how to handle winter conditions without help. Please start with the beginners winter camping trip first if you are new to winter camping. Campfires are not permitted in the Bruce National Park Backcountry. You should be prepared to cold camp.
Gear requirements:
You will need to make water by melting snow on your stove. Most canister stoves perform very poorly in winter conditions, white gas fueled stoves are recommended. Also, remember to bring extra fuel to melt snow.
There are some more hints on gear that might be needed here.

Money:
I will be collecting $11.39 of which $10.50 is for the campsite fee and 89ct goes to PayPal. In additional each car should split the overnight parking fee, $12.25, as well gas costs, evenly.
