Northern Adventures - August, 2023

This trip is a 4-day/3-night hike on the Silhouette Trail in Killarney Provincial Park, entering the Trail Aug 5, and returning to the cars Aug 8. Hiking the complete trail can be challenging, but this hike is an exploration of just one end of the trail, and will be suitable for even novice hikers who have some backpacking camping experience and are in good physical condition. Camping will be on a different campsite each night, with short hikes between the sites. We'll be limited to 3 tents on these campsites, and up to 6 hikers - hammockers will be most welcome. This trip is especially suitable for hikers wishing an introduction to the Silhouette Trail but who are not ready to hike the full 80 km.

Trip details and a spreadsheet will be sent by email. No pets on this trip, thanks. Backcountry campsites are modestly priced, so costs will be low.

Upon posting this trip, I tell the Meetup software the trip is full, so your RSVP puts you on the Waitlist and indicates your agreement with the terms of the Co-Participant Understanding. I'll contact you to discuss your experience level and related info, and then I change your RSVP status to ‘Going’.
